Freiburg Schlossbergturm

My day in Freiburg was spent with our friend's the Schellbachs. We went to a big tower called the Schlossbergtum which means the tower on the mountain with the castle .... Luis, who is my age and Kathi, his sister showed us around Freiburg. I even got to go to the barbershop with Louis for a haircut. In Germany they give out candy at the barbers. At the Ponyhof there are 12 ponies. 9 Icelandic and 3 Shetlands. The ponies are ridden about 5 times a week so their shoes ware out quickly. My grandfather has learned how to shoe the ponies and about every other week there is a pony who needs a shoe or two.

We went to cut fresh grass for the ponies with Paul every the evening. I got to drive the tractor and became very good at it! Paul cut the grass with a walk-behind mower, I raked the grass and Paul and my dad carried the grass on pitch forks to the trailer.

When we got back to the Ponyhof, we would drive down to the stable and feed some of it to the ponies. We threw it through a window into the feeding box.
